Aim for 85-100% condition before sale
Per Radex Tips and Berlian Kecil, cars above 85% condition keep full resale premium. Stop repairing below 85% only if you can reroute to a lower-paying buyer fast.
Always run the negotiation ladder
Juan and Mr. Lupin both support negotiation rounds. Run two rounds minimum on Juan (default buyer) and the full ladder on Mr. Lupin (tier 4-5 only).
Avoid Rick unless time-pressured
Rick pays ~62% of true value with no negotiation window. Use him only when the server is closing in the last 60 seconds.

Once you clear 80,000 Cash in the bank, switch from Shavlon Spark (tier 1) to Civix RK (tier 2), then Mercer M21 (tier 4). The cascading resale premium funds tier-5 hunting.
